Our purpose is to provide young artists with the tools to succeed as working actors, musicians and writers in the theater community. Through classes in playwriting, acting and improvisation students are exposed to fundamental theater arts techniques designed to build confidence, explore self-expression, empower their creative voice and instill professionalism. Our staff, all working professionals, create a positive, nurturing and fun environment allowing both beginning and advanced theater students to work creatively as an ensemble. Developing Artists' teachers have worked both on and off-Broadway, in television, film and have taught for NYU's Creative Arts Team, HAI, Lee Strasberg Institute, Bronx Writers Center and George Street Playhouse. Class size is limited to ensure the individualized attention and support needed for young developing artists.

Developing Artists’ Staff create a positive, nurturing, and fun environment allowing both beginning and advanced theatre students to work creatively as an ensemble. Developing Artists teaching staff operates on a rotating basis, giving students the opportunity to work with a different resident instructor each session. All of our staff are working professionals appearing on film, television, and both on and off Broadway. They have taught for NY’s Creative Arts Team, HAI, The Lee Strasberg Institute, and George Street Playhouse. There’s a reason why distinguished artists such as Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Judy Reyes, Daphne Rubin-Vega, & John Patrick Shanley endorse Developing Artists and reside on its advisory board: our teaching staff are their associates and colleagues, who they trust and know have the credentials properly instruct the next generation of artists.
